Cisse targets training return

Reading midfielder Kalifa Cisse hopes to step up his recovery from injury by returning to training in the next few days.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined with toe ligament damage since last month's 4-2 defeat at Charlton Athletic.

He told the Royals' official website: "The injury's getting better. I just need more treatment and I should be back in training in the next few days.

"I hurt my toe ligament. One of the Charlton players stood on my toe in the game. I'm in pain when I run, but it's OK walking now.

"Before the injury I felt fine, I was playing every three days and it was good for the fitness."
