Church desperate to retain place

Reading striker Simon Church is hoping for a run in the side after making a rare start against Hull.The Wales international was in from the start in place of Noel Hunt at the weekend and is confident of keeping the shirt.He said: "It's been a long time on the sidelines and I've been eager to get in there and take my chance."But the front two have been playing really well and Shane [Long] has been on fire."It was good to get a run-out and hopefully I can now get an extended run in the side."
