Bignall targets breakthrough

The 19-year-old was one of three debutants to score in the Carling Cup win and believes new manager Brendan Rodgers' policy of playing young players means he could feature regularly this season. He told the club's official website: "I couldn't have asked for more from my debut - well maybe a hat-trick. "The Carling Cup is a chance for us fringe players to get a good game in and we are still in the competition so that can only mean more games. "If you keep pushing, you never know. In this team you might get a chance."
