Reading midfielder Bryan Howard has revealed he is gutted to be missing out on the Royals' clash with former club Barnsley at the weekend.
Howard spent three years at Oakwell before his switch to the Madejski Stadium, appearing in the FA Cup semi-final against Cardiff at Wembley in 2008, but will miss the weekend game against the Tykes after being sent off against Middlesborough.
He told Reading World: "I wanted to be involved, especially against Barnsley, but I can't dwell on it.
"I've never played against them since I left. I got five minutes last season after coming back from injury. I was really looking forward to it.
"Like I said, I can't dwell on it. I just hope the boys go out there and get three points."
