But he admits there will be no excuse for another slip-up against Accies, who host the Scottish champions in the Scottish Premier League this weekend.[LNB]Rangers surrendered a two-goal lead against Billy Reid's men in the Active Nation Scottish Cup on Sunday, with Kenny Miller's penalty allowing the holders to scrape a 3-3 draw and force a reply in the fourth-round tie.[LNB]Sandwiched between those cup ties is the SPL clash in the lunchtime kick-off at New Douglas Park on Saturday.[LNB]And Whittaker knows Rangers must return to the sort of form which saw them come through December with a 100% record.[LNB]He told Rangers News: "You'd like to have a gap after you've played a team and face some different opposition before going back but it's just the way it falls sometimes and, this time, we have another game because we couldn't get the win we wanted on Sunday.[LNB]"But it's important that, regardless of the result, when we go back we do so with the right attitude and the desire to win the second game.[LNB]"They may not be the most exciting matches on paper but they are all equally as tough as we have seen already.[LNB]"For us, it's important to deal with that because we need to get back to the vein of form that we've been in and continue with the good results we were having."[LNB]Hamilton followed up their efforts against Rangers with a drab 1-0 defeat to Dundee United on Wednesday night that had looked set to end in an uninspiring goalless draw until David Goodwillie grabbed the only goal of the game.[LNB]But, far from being uneasy at the prospect of facing Walter Smith's men again so soon, Reid believes a meeting with the SPL leaders could be just the tonic after a flat performance against United.[LNB]"We need to pick ourselves up because we have got two massive games," he said.[LNB]"These players will do that - I've got no doubt about. We will go again and you've got to enjoy these games.[LNB]"We've got a chance to put Rangers to the sword again. We know they will come out with all guns blazing and we expect that but hopefully we will be ready."[LNB][LNB]
