Weiss - Smith chat restored my confidence

Vladimir Weiss has revealed how a heart to heart with boss Walter Smith resulted in his best performance so far for Rangers. The on-loan Manchester City winger felt his contribution had been poor recently and sought some advice from the veteran manager. Smith assured the 21-year-old he still had faith in his ability and Weiss rewarded that faith with a man-of-the-match display as Rangers secured a 4-1 win at Motherwell. Asked if that was his best showing for the Scottish champions so far, Weiss said: "I think so. I've not been doing well in the last few games and I spoke to the manager. "We had a good chat together last week and I've been working hard in training this week so I'm happy he gave me another chance. I'm happy that I could impress him. "From a football side, I've not been happy with myself. The manager has great experience and I know he can help me and that's why I went to see him."
