Weir wary of ever-changing SPL form book
David Weir believes the ever-changing world of the Old Firm means leaders Rangers could be in crisis by the time Celtic visit Ibrox on January 2.
Three successive home draws have left Neil Lennon's under-fire Hoops side two points behind the Light Blues at the top of the SPL having played a game more.
Both Glasgow giants have two games to play before they bring in the new year in Govan but the Rangers skipper, 40, prefers to focus firstly on the trip to Motherwell on Boxing Day.
"It is important to win every game at Rangers, regardless of the circumstances or what has gone before or what is coming up," the former Hearts and Everton defender said.
"If you start to worry about two games down the line or three games down the line you could be in a crisis by then if you haven't got the results.
"It's very much short term at Rangers in respect of what is important so I don't think we can afford to look too far head. Everyone knows the title race will be as it was last year, nip and tuck all the way. Whichever way the Old Firm games goes it will be viewed as a turning point but invariably, so will the next one."
