Weir waiting for talks with Walter

The 39-year-old, who moved to Ibrox from Everton in January 2007, was a key figure as Rangers held off Old Firm rivals Celtic to win the SPL title. Weir is out of contract in the summer and is unsure if he will be offered an extension, but wants to be given the chance to continue his career. "I have not spoken to Walter Smith about it yet, but I'm sure we will have a conversation soon," Weir told the club's official website. "If I don't get anything then I can say that I have loved the time that I have been here and I won't have any problem with that. "I have to understand that he will do what's best for Rangers. "I genuinely don't know where I'm going to be, but I just know that I want to be playing. "I might not get the opportunity, but my No.1 choice would be to continue playing. "I am not really one to look back or look too far forward. I'm sure I will know when I can't do it any more - or someone will tell me! "I definitely want to play next season, but I don't know what my options will be." Rangers 1/3, Draw 100/30, Falkirk 9/1
