Andy Webster believes the news that Walter Smith is staying at Rangers will be met with unanimous approval in the dressing room.[LNB] Webster spent the last season on loan at Dundee United in a bid to regain his fitness following injury problems at Ibrox.[LNB]But he is well aware of the success Smith delivered under difficult financial restrictions, claiming the SPL title and the Co-operative Cup.[LNB]And he was thrilled to hear the veteran boss has signed on for another year at Rangers to defend his crown.[LNB]Webster said: "It's important for the football club and gives us a bit of stability. The manager knows what it takes to win and I'm sure all the players are happy with it.[LNB]"The players who have worked under the manager for the last few years will all be delighted he is staying at the club."[LNB]Webster skippered United to third spot in the SPL and success in the Active Nation Scottish Cup.[LNB]And he was relishing the opportunity to continue that success at Rangers as he modelled the champions' new kit at Murray Park today.[LNB]He said: "I had a great season last year and I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
