Treble talk off limits - Beasley

Rangers defied the odds to beat St Mirren to the Co-operative Insurance Cup on Sunday after being reduced to nine men at Hampden.[LNB]They now turn their focus to booking a place in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at the second time of asking when they travel to Dundee United for the last-eight replay.[LNB]But, even though they have now taken a major step closer to a domestic clean sweep, Beasley claims no-one in the dressing room is taking anything for granted.[LNB]"It's only the media who are talking about it," he said. "We are still taking it one game at a time.[LNB]"The next one is tomorrow in the Scottish Cup and then back to the league on Saturday.[LNB]"There is a lot of football to be played. The championship is not in the bag yet and neither is the Scottish Cup so we still have a lot of work to do.[LNB]"Every game is difficult. Every point counts. Celtic are trying to put a run together but hopefully they slip up and make it easier for us.[LNB]"We need to concentrate on ourselves, that's what we need to do.[LNB]"We have got to make sure we concentrate on the games, get the three points whether it's home or away and try to step forward and retain the championship."[LNB]Beasley knows a successful conclusion to the domestic campaign can only boost his chances of being named in Bob Bradley's World Cup squad this summer.[LNB]The American winger added: "In the World Cup he wants to take players who are on form, playing well and doing well for their clubs.[LNB]"We don't have any games until the squad gets together so hopefully I can get myself into the squad.[LNB]"Any time that a player is playing for his club, it's always good for the international manager to see."[LNB]Beasley is out of contract at the end of the season but says he is happy to wait until then to resolve his Rangers future as financial uncertainty continues to surround the club, which could be the subject of a takeover in the coming weeks.[LNB]He said: "As a footballer you don't think about it too much because you are concentrating on the season.[LNB]"After the season there is enough time to talk about contract situations.[LNB]"I'm sure the club will know what's happening in the year to come, whether there is more money or they are in the same situation they are in now.[LNB]"It just depends but, as footballers, we can't think about that too much. It's a long summer and hopefully things will get sorted out then.[LNB]"I've enjoyed my football here. It's been good and bad, with the injuries and not playing as much as I would have liked to, but I've enjoyed the three years I've been here.[LNB]"I don't know what's going to happen. It's a tough one because of the state of the club, you don't know what's going to happen and there's also my decision as well.[LNB]"I'm sure I'll talk to the club and see what they're thinking, what I'm thinking and come to a conclusion."[LNB][LNB] Dundee Utd v Rangers.
