Thomson reveals celebration confusion

Thomson and Wilson were both sent off in the second half of a remarkable match at Hampden on Sunday and were watching the game on television in the dressing room as Kenny Miller headed in a dramatic late winner.[LNB]The relieved duo had to be urged to go back outside to collect their medals and join their team-mates on a lap of honour.[LNB]"At first I didn't know if we should go back out to celebrate," Thomson told the Daily Record. [LNB]"I didn't know if the boys were going to come inside before going back out to lift the Cup so Danny and I just sat there watching them celebrate.[LNB]"To tell you the truth I don't think Danny and I really deserved to be out there after leaving the team in a hole - down to nine men.[LNB]"So we kind of sat on the fence and stayed inside.[LNB]"But we were told to get out there and enjoy ourselves and I must admit it was a great feeling when we walked out and got a few cuddles off the rest of the lads.[LNB]"The manager gave me a big hug and the first thing he said to me was he thought it was a soft sending-off.[LNB]"But I still felt bad inside because it's hard enough trying to win cup finals with 11 players - never mind nine![LNB]"I'm just thankful the rest of the boys managed to dig deep and come up with something special.[LNB]"That's what this Rangers team is all about - we are all in it together and it's a very special group."[LNB][LNB] Hearts v Rangers.
