Sochaux chief hopeful of Boyd deal
Boyd smashed Henrik Larsson's Scottish Premier League scoring record earlier this week with five goals in a 7-1 win over Dundee United at Ibrox taking his tally to 160.[LNB]The 26-year-old is out of contract this summer and Rangers could accept an offer this month rather than risk losing him for nothing.[LNB]Sochaux representative Gerard Battles will be at the Old Firm derby on Sunday and Lacombe claims a deal could be on the cards.[LNB]"He would really love to come to France," the Sochaux boss told L'Equipe. "A transfer in January is foreseeable and his salary is not prohibitive.[LNB]"Moreover, he will be at the the end of his contract in June."[LNB]Sochaux are 15th in the Ligue 1 standings albeit with two games in hand on the majority of their rivals.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
