Smith rules out Nugent swoop

Rangers manager Walter Smith has played down reports suggesting he will sign Preston's in-demand striker David Nugent in the summer.
Smith watched North End's 3-1 win against Southampton but disputes theories linking him with the former Bury hot-shot.
"There's nothing in it," he said. "People saw me at the game and put two and two together."
Everton, Portsmouth and Sheffield United have all been linked with Nugent recently.
