Smith plays down title fears

Rangers manager Walter Smith played down suggestions that Wednesday's Old Firm defeat has handed Celtic the initiative in the title race.
The Gers lost 2-1 at Celtic Park to a last minute Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink winner and are now just one point ahead of their rivals having played two games less.
"I was told we'd won the championship when we beat Celtic at Ibrox. Then I was told Celtic's manager was under pressure and his job was under threat," said Smith.
"Now am I being told that's not the case and the league's in question once again because we've lost an Old Firm game?
"Somebody's going to have to make up their mind which is which.
"I was obviously disappointed to lose the winning goal when we did because I thought we'd restricted Celtic in terms of scoring chances, even after we were down to 10 men."
