Smith wary of Hamilton

Walter Smith believes Rangers need look no further than rivals Celtic to realise just how much of a threat Hamilton could pose. Accies may be 12 points adrift at the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and facing the very real possibility of relegation from the top-flight. But they managed to stun the Hoops back in January when they battled out a thrilling 1-1 draw at New Douglas Park, with Celtic only snatching a point thanks to a last-minute penalty. Rangers make the short journey to Lanarkshire on Sunday and Smith was keen to urge caution ahead of their meeting with rock-bottom Accies. "Hamilton have been excellent in the division over the last few seasons. They lost quite a number of players at the start of this season and it has had an obvious effect on them," said Smith. "But their league position right now won't make them any more easy or more difficult than they have been in the last few years. "We've had some really tight games against them especially at their ground and we know that's what we face. Celtic went there a few months ago and had a draw there so that's enough of a warning for us. We hope we can do enough to win the match."
