Smith unlikely to launch appeal

Smith was sent to the stands during Saturday's goalless Scottish Premier League draw at Kilmarnock and faces a four-game suspension if found guilty of misconduct - rather than the usual two - as it would be his second such offence in the last three years. The Gers supremo looks set to accept such punishment after admitting he was in the wrong. He said: "I will have the right of appeal, like anyone else, and it will depend on what they accuse me of. "But when you're out of order, like I admit I was on Saturday, then you have to accept it. I was wrong in my reaction." Smith was dismissed after reacting furiously to Killie players he mistakenly thought were trying to get Pedro Mendes shown a second yellow card.
