Scotland duo Scott Brown and Alan Hutton have been ruled out of Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Georgia due to injury. Both players starred in Saturday's 3-1 victory against Ukraine but picked up knocks, with Brown having to be replaced in the closing stages of the game by Shaun Maloney. Maloney is expected to replace Brown from the start in Georgia while Graham Alexander is tipped to come in for Hutton. Meanwhile, Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher could return from injury to play in Wednesday's match as he steps up his recovery after breaking a bone in his foot. Scotland boss Alex McLeish told Sky Sports News: "Sir Alex Ferguson said that Fletcher will play next weekend for Manchester United so he can play for Scotland. "It's fantastic news for us. He's got a chance of playing. Whether we start him, we'll have to wait and see, but certainly, he's got a big chance of playing."
