Rothen moved to Glasgow on a season-long loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain but has played just a handful of games for Walter Smith's men.[LNB]The 31-year-old is under contract until June but has been told by the club he can leave this month and is ready to take a pay cut to do so.[LNB]"It was them two months ago who told me I could find another club," he told French radio station RMC. "I have to find a solution.[LNB]"It's not easy even though I am prepared to make concessions financially because I want to play and shine on the pitch.[LNB]"But they also have to find an agreement with PSG. There have to be discussions with the Parisian club.[LNB]"Either I am released and I can commit myself to another club or we find a solution for another loan deal until June."[LNB]Rothen is under contract with PSG until June 2011.[LNB]Reports suggest the capital club have agreed a loan deal with Greek outfit Larissa and Rothen hopes to sort out his future soon.[LNB]He continued: "If none of this happens I will be obliged to return to Glasgow but that will be difficult.[LNB]"I would try again to flourish there but it won't be easy considering what they've told me. It would suit them if I am not there any more.[LNB]"It's up to me to find an interesting challenge. I still have some time. I am open to all offers.[LNB]"I still have a lot of desire. I am only 31. I'm not past it."[LNB]Rothen admits he never really wanted to move to Glasgow.[LNB]And the former France international insists he is baffled as to why he is so rarely considered by Smith.[LNB]"When I was at PSG they made me understand that I had to look elsewhere," added Rothen. "A move to Schalke, which was a good choice, collapsed at the last moment.[LNB]"I found myself without anything on August 31, the last day of the transfer market.[LNB]"I thought that going to Rangers for a year playing Champions League football was a good decision.[LNB]"Everything was going well there. But after we were knocked out of the Champions League he (Smith) dropped me.[LNB]"Like that, from one day to the next.[LNB]"I waited a few matches before asking for talks. Following this talk at the end of November he made me realise that it would suit them financially if I found another club in the winter transfer market."[LNB][LNB]
