Reynolds eyes Motherwell exit

Motherwell's highly-rated defender Mark Reynolds is hoping European success with the club can help him win a move away from Fir Park.[LNB] The Scotland B defender, linked with Rangers, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the past, has only one year left on his contract.[LNB]It is expected that the Lanarkshire club will cash in now rather than lose him for nothing next season and manager Craig Brown has also admitted that he cannot strengthen until the 23-year-old departs.[LNB]Reynolds will take his place in the Fir Park defence on Thursday night for the first leg of the Europa League play-off against Odense in Denmark knowing a good performance could speed up a move.[LNB]"All I can do is play football and if somebody wants to buy me, that's up to them and the club to sort out," Reynolds said.[LNB]"All I can do is play and hope, with the performances I put in, that somebody is going to take me to the next level.[LNB]"There is no better shop window than the Europa League - playing in big games is where you can see big performances.[LNB]"Hopefully we can put in a big performance and get a big result."[LNB]Motherwell have beaten Icelandic league leaders Breidablik and Norwegian cup holders Aalesund with the loss of just one goal, from the penalty spot, to reach the play-off stages.[LNB]Reynolds is hoping that the Fir Park club can get through to the group stages of the competition for the first time.[LNB]But the Well defender knows there is lot of work to be done before the Motherwell players and fans start scanning possible opponents in the next round.[LNB]He said: "It would be great for the fans to come and support us in the group stage, it would be great for the players to play in and have that on your CV.[LNB]"I'm sure there would be a couple of massive teams in the group and a couple of massive ties to bring back to Fir Park.[LNB]"But I don't think the boys are getting ahead of themselves.[LNB]"We still have two huge 90 minutes to play. We're just trying to get a good result in Denmark and keep the tie alive for Fir Park."
