Reid still wary of Rangers reserves

Kenny Miller is suspended for the trip to New Douglas Park, while Kris Boyd is recovering from a hernia operation he underwent earlier in the week.[LNB]The prolific pair have notched up 33 goals between them so far this season - 18 of those in the month of December alone.[LNB]And Accies boss Reid believes any manager would be relieved at the prospect of not facing a strike partnership who are enjoying such fine form.[LNB]"That's fair comment," he said.[LNB]"I think they are a partnership, they come as a pair - if one doesn't play, the other doesn't play and it doesn't work as well.[LNB]"But Rangers have got quality players to come in, like Kyle Lafferty and Nacho Novo, who are pests and have good pace.[LNB]"They are ready to prove a point so they will be dangerous."[LNB]Hamilton followed the high of their 3-3 Active Nation Scottish Cup draw with Rangers on Sunday with the low of a drab 1-0 defeat to Dundee United in midweek.[LNB]But Reid has no qualms about facing Walter Smith's men again so soon after such a disappointing display on Wednesday night.[LNB]"We've got to enjoy these games," he said.[LNB]"It's a fantastic occasion for the club again. We enjoyed the day on Sunday and we have the chance to put them to the sword again.[LNB]"I won't have to pick the players up again, we are not that type. I've got a smashing group and I've got no worries about that at all.[LNB]"I'm disappointed about the United game but I don't have any complaints. We looked a bit flat at times but the players gave me everything and ran themselves into the ground."[LNB]Meanwhile, Reid is philosophical about the prospect of losing star player James McArthur this month after he was linked with Hull and QPR, the Accies boss having lost key players Brian Easton and James McCarthy in the last transfer window.[LNB]"If it happens, it happens," he said.[LNB]"I'm not going to stand in his way but who would want to lose a player like James McArthur?[LNB]"He has been absolutely brilliant for me. But if it happens, I'll be delighted for James McArthur."[LNB][LNB] Rangers 4/11, Draw 7/2, Hamilton 8/1
