Records not so crucial for Kris

The Rangers striker is now just three goals from equalling the 158 Scottish Premier League goals Celtic legend Larsson netted during his time in the east end of Glasgow.[LNB]He knows that smashing that record against Celtic at Parkhead on Sunday and becoming the SPL's most prolific goalscorer ever would be nothing short of a fairytale start to the new year.[LNB]But Boyd insists his only aim at the moment is helping the Scottish champions continue their winning streak with three points against Dundee United on Wednesday night.[LNB]"I know it's there and it would be great to get past him," he said.[LNB]"But I'm just looking to the game against Dundee United and getting the points first of all.[LNB]"If I can get on the scoresheet, I'll be even closer. But until I'm there, it doesn't really bother me.[LNB]"If I can get on the scoresheet, we will see what happens on Sunday.[LNB]"But we need to take care of Dundee United before we can focus on Celtic."[LNB]As well as finding the back of the net, Boyd has also been creating goals for strike partner Kenny Miller and hopes the profitable partnership will continue into the new year.[LNB]He added: "It's good that the team is winning and getting the three points and I'm still managing to get on the scoresheet.[LNB]"The two of us have struck up a good partnership and it's working well just now. Both of us are getting goals and the team is winning. Long may it continue.[LNB]"I'm maybe working a bit harder and getting about the park and it's good that the goals are still there as well."[LNB]Rangers romped to a 3-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice earlier this month and Boyd expects them to be on a revenge mission at Ibrox.[LNB]He said: "I think they will come at us and have a go at us. They've got nothing to lose.[LNB]"We played well at Tannadice but it will be different again. We will be the home team this time and it's a different challenge facing us.[LNB]"But we look forward to it and I'm sure if we play the way we have been playing we can get the three points."[LNB][LNB]
