Bell could return for Rangers

Rangers keeper Cammy Bell could return for Sunday's Scottish Championship meeting with Raith Rovers at Ibrox after a knee injury saw him sit out Thursday's defeat at Queen of the South.

Dean Shiels was also rested for the 3-0 loss at Palmerston but will be considered for a starting role, while teenager Tom Walsh is back in contention after hamstring trouble.

Skipper Lee McCulloch serves the second match of his two-game ban for an elbow on Hearts striker Osman Sow, while Seb Faure (knee), Richard Foster (hernia), Steven Smith (back) and Jon Daly (knee) remain on the sidelines with injured Newcastle loanees Kevin Mbabu (fitness issues), Remie Streete (ear infection and muscle strain), Gael Bigirimana (infection) and Shane Ferguson (knee).

Raith are without Liam Fox through a ban but goalkeeper David McGurn is expected to return after sitting out Wednesday night's 3-1 defeat from Cowdenbeath.

Manager Grant Murray is looking for better as he explained: "The Cowdenbeath game was really disappointing and not good preparation at all for going to Ibrox. We gave the ball away far too easily all over the pitch and we had far too many players off form."

"We need to have everyone back on their game as Rangers will be looking to bounce back from their own disappointments at our expense.

"After losing to Falkirk and Cowdenbeath we want to get back to winning ways."
