Law back to boost Gers

Nicky Law is ready to return to the Rangers line-up as they prepare for Saturday's Ladbrokes Scottish Championship date with Morton at Ibrox.

The midfielder has not featured since the October 20 clash with Livingston having injured his knee but has been declared fit to face Jim Duffy's Ton.

Dean Shiels is also back after a stiff neck but winger David Templeton and goalkeeper Cammy Bell remain out with knee injuries.

Rangers, three points above second-placed Hibernian, are looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table with a sixth consecutive home win in all competitions.

James Tavernier reckons Rangers have got the title-winning know-how that will see off Hibs, saying: "I won the league with Bristol City when I was on loan there and I won a play-off final at Rotherham so I'm quite used to the big occasions.

"I'm sure our lads have got plenty of experience themselves having played with different clubs and gone for titles. They will all want to see an end product after the way we started the season.

"I'm sure that experience does benefit us. If you have experience in the team then it can come through in the big games when you actually need it.

"When you're playing games and it's not going great for you then you need experience to dig you out and get those three points."

Morton will be without on-loan Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto at Ibrox due to a gentlemen's agreement between the clubs that stops him playing.

Although Derek Gaston and Ricki Lamie are available after injury and Stefan McCluskey returns from a ban, Michael Tidser (stomach muscle), Frank McKeown (knee) and Peter MacDonald (knee) are sidelined.

Manager Duffy said: "This is a big fixture against a big club at a big ground and one that will look to make the most of.

"Other teams will be looking at this game and expecting us to drop points so we will have to do our best to disappoint them."
