McCullock misses Montrose match

Rangers will again be without skipper Lee McCulloch for their Irn-Bru Third Division game against Montrose.

McCulloch has shown progress in his recovery from an ankle injury but Saturday's clash at Ibrox comes too soon for the utility man.

The Light Blues have no fresh injury concerns but Kevin Kyle remains on the sidelines, along with Darren Cole, who is out for the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage.

John Gibson and Martin Boyle are added to the Montrose squad.

Goalkeeper Gibson and striker Boyle have both joined Stuart Garden's side on loan from Dundee.

Gibson has already played at Ibrox twice this season during a loan spell with Elgin and Boyle was a Gable Endie before being signed by Dundee back in August.

Stephen McNally is banned and Paul Lunan is out with an ankle fracture while Jamie Winter and Craig McLeish both face fitness tests.

Garden said: "We gave Rangers a real fright in our last game when we hit the woodwork in the last few minutes when it was 3-2. We can look forward to going to Ibrox as a result."
