Kenny Miller tells Rangers to push through to the end of the season
Kenny Miller has urged his Rangers team-mates to fight to the line even if their days at Ibrox are numbered.
Boss Pedro Caixinha is currently in the process of spelling out to his players which of them have a future with the club next season.
Three players have been told they are free to leave this summer and more could follow next week.
But the Portuguese coach still has three games to negotiate before the end of a season to forget, with a mounting injury list too.
And veteran frontman Miller admits his side cannot afford passengers as they gear up for Saturday's clash with Hearts.
He said: "For me it comes down to the individual and your own personal pride. If you want to put the tools away and go on holiday you'll do that.
"If you want to stay and fight for the cause because it's your job and you have a personal pride, then you'll do that instead.
"I think that's just down to each character and I'm hoping that in our dressing room we have lads who are thinking, 'Let's just get to the end of the season, fight, work hard and get three wins'.
"That would be the attitude we would be looking for."
Rangers' injury concerns have deepened again this week after it was confirmed Danny Wilson will miss the remainder of the season with a knee problem.
On-loan pair Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral have also returned to parent clubs Bournemouth and Arsenal early after picking up knocks, with skipper Lee Wallace leading a casualty list that already includes defenders Lee Hodson, Rob Kiernan and Philippe Senderos and midfield duo Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter.
Hearts midfielder Malaury Martin has promised they will fight to discover a winning formula as he insisted he would improve on a difficult start to life in Scottish football.
Head coach Ian Cathro returns to Ibrox on Saturday six months on from his debut there in a 2-0 defeat. His team have since won six games and their hopes of a Europa League place could be over this weekend.
Martin arrived in January and the Frenchman insists he has seen signs of improvement.
"We always make progress," the 28-year-old said. "Even where you are losing games you learn. The team is in a difficult moment but you learn every time. We are losing some games but you have to learn from this and be better.
"It's different football to what I am used to but it's always good for me to learn a different style. In your career you always have to learn and progress and it's good for me to have this experience.
"The tempo is different, it is attacking all the time and you don't have much time to keep the ball and switch the play. This is new for me but I enjoy new football styles.
"I knew that before coming, and I start to think I know now how to play. Even the last couple of games when I was on the bench, it was a chance to learn from the outside."
Hearts full-backs Andraz Struna and Lennard Sowah are set to miss the encounter with muscle injuries, while Faycal Rherras has left the club.
