Rangers V Falkirk at Ibrox Stadium : Match Preview

31 August 2012 15:32
Duo back for Rangers Rangers are boosted by the return of Dean Shiels and Lee Wallace for their Scottish Communities League Cup tie against Falkirk. Both players missed last week's Ramsdens Cup win over Falkirk and Sunday's draw against Berwick with dead legs. Kirk Broadfoot will not be involved after reaching agreement with the club to be freed from his contract. Captain Darren Dods will not be available as Falkirk travel to Ibrox to face Rangers in the Scottish Communities League Cup Second Round due to the Achilles injury he picked up back in July. Everyone else in manager Steven Pressley's squad is available for a tie that technical director Alex Smith reckons his side can do well in if they get their passing game going from kick-off. Smith said: "Rangers beat us last week in the Ramsdens Cup, but it was a really tight game so we know that we have a chance. We will have more of a chance if we can get settled into the game early and start passing the ball around. "We are going there after a good win at Morton but we will need to defend better in this game."
