Duo doubtful for Rangers

Kevin Kyle and Dean Shiels are doubts ahead of Rangers Irn-Bru Third Division clash with Annan Athletic at Ibrox.

Kyle is still feeling the effects of Saturday's battling 4-2 win at Montrose where Shiels picked up an ankle knock.

Defender Ross Perry could be added to the squad after recovering from hernia surgery along with midfielder Fraser Aird, back from a fractured thumb and striker Francisco Sandaza, who is set to return after recovering from a broken cheekbone.

Annan's David Murray is out after his hamstring injury failed to clear up in time.

He joins Graeme Bell, who has been on the side-lines for 4 months with a groin injury.

The Galabank side have yet to win away from home this season and lost 2-0 to Peterhead at Balmoor on Saturday, with manager Harry Cairney saying: "We did not create enough in an attacking sense and then conceded a soft goal.

"That has been happening too often and we cannot do that against Rangers.

"We have not picked up a win away from Galabank and going to Ibrox and winning will be a huge ask but we can take confidence from the goalless draw against Rangers at the start of the season."
