Arsenal youngster Nacer Barazite will get the chance to win a move to Rangers when a second string Light Blues side take on Glentoran at the Oval on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old striker has represented Holland at all youth levels and has three caps for their Under-21 side. Barazite has been at Arsenal since 2006, and has made three first-team appearances.

"It's a good opportunity in a competitive match for us to have a look at Nacer," Ibrox coach Ian Durrant told the Evening times

After spending the 2008/2009 season on loan to Derby County, Barazite failed to establish himself at Arsenal last season after suffering from shoulder injury problems that required surgery.

Meanwhile, Nikica Jelavic has reiterated his desire to join Rangers but admits his long-term goal is to play in the English Premier League.

Rangers chief executive Martin Bain was back in Austria on Tuesday attempting to finalise a deal with Rapid Vienna who are reportedly holding out for a £4million fee for the 24-year-old striker.

Jelavic was quoted in the Daily Record as saying: "The Scottish league is stronger than the Austrian league and Rangers are a great club.

"But I've always been honest and I've never hidden my desire to one day play in the English Premier League because it is the best in the world.

"At this moment I remain a Rapid Vienna player and a professional.

"I want to do the very best I can for this club until someone tells me otherwise. That's all I can say at this time."
