Rangers are in talks with Joey Barton over a move to Ibrox, Press Association Sport understands.
The midfielder has been visiting Ibrox and the club's training ground on Saturday and is close to signing a three-year contract.
Barton was a key player in Burnley's Sky Bet Championship triumph but was only offered a one-year extension at Turf Moor and wants a longer deal.
