Rampant Rangers won't go Wylde

Gregg Wylde insists Rangers will not read too much into their impressive lead at the summit of the SPL at such an early stage of the season.[LNB] The Scottish champions boast a 10-point advantage over Celtic - and sit nine points clear of second-placed Motherwell - following Saturday's 1-0 win over Hibernian.[LNB]Celtic still have a game in hand but squandered the opportunity to edge closer to their Old Firm rivals after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.[LNB]Rangers now head into the international break in an enviable position at the top of the SPL but Wylde was keen to sound a note of caution with plenty of football still to be played, including another three meetings between the Glasgow giants.[LNB]He said: "It's good but we can't get carried away at this moment in time. There are still Old Firm games to be played."[LNB]Wylde himself passed up two good opportunities in quick succession at Ibrox before Kyle Lafferty grabbed the only goal of the game with 68 minutes on the clock after Steven Whittaker missed from the penalty spot.[LNB]Rangers were also frustrated by Kilmarnock for more than an hour in midweek before going on to win 2-0 and Wylde claims securing the points is all that matters.[LNB]The winger said: "This game was just like the first half against Kilmarnock. It was very difficult but we are just delighted to get all three points.[LNB]"We had a chat at half-time. We knew the goal would come if we kept playing the way we were playing and we were pleased that it came at the right time and that we finished with the points."[LNB]The 20-year-old has managed to hold down a regular place in Ally McCoist's plans so far this season and says he feels more settled in the first team.[LNB]He said: "At first I was a bit nervous but now I'm in the first team regularly and I'm enjoying it now.[LNB]"I had a couple of chances myself in the game but I'm just delighted that I set up the goal that got the three points for the team."[LNB]Despite the result, Hibs boss Colin Calderwood believes there is plenty to build on from the performance at Ibrox.[LNB]He said: "It was our best performance in defeat but you don't want to be a good performer in a losing team.[LNB]"I think the experience of playing against Rangers will hold us in good stead.[LNB]"It's a fairly good foundation for playing the rest of the teams and it's a good template for us to grow from."
