But he insists points mean prizes and his own personal targets do not matter as long as Rangers continue to notch up the wins.[LNB]McCulloch now has seven goals for the campaign - five short of his best record while at Motherwell back in season 1999-2000.[LNB]He said: "I've managed to get a few goals this season compared to other seasons when I've been in a different role.[LNB]"I've played a few games at centre-half this season as well so it's good to contribute to the goals.[LNB]"My best tally in Scotland is 12 when I was at Motherwell - and that was a long time ago![LNB]"I'll just keep going but it doesn't matter who gets the goals as long as we keep getting the points."[LNB]McCulloch had initially been a doubt for the visit of Saints after limping out of last week's Old Firm derby with an ankle knock and sitting out Scotland's midweek win over Czech Republic.[LNB]And, with his replacement Maurice Edu snatching a late winner against Celtic last Sunday, he admits he was fortunate to be given the nod ahead of the American in Saturday's 3-1 win at Ibrox.[LNB]He said: "I managed to train on Friday so it was good to start the game. I had heavy strapping on.[LNB]"When I went off last week, I thought Mo and Kevin Thomson were brilliant in the middle of the park so I could easily have been left out and I wouldn't have had an argument.[LNB]"I'm delighted I started and did all right."[LNB]McCulloch levelled just two minutes after Graham Carey fired St Mirren into a shock lead and struck again with a minute of the restart.[LNB]Nacho Novo then sealed the win late on as Rangers moved 13 points clear at the summit of the SPL, ahead of Celtic's visit to Falkirk.[LNB]McCulloch cautioned: "I don't think we can afford to dream.[LNB]"One bad result and Celtic - and the other teams around us - get their tails up.[LNB]"We've got to just keep going. We've got a massive game against Kilmarnock on Tuesday against a team who are doing well and who have some good players."[LNB]Buddies boss Gus MacPherson admits the timing of Rangers' goals were crucial in allowing them to mount an impressive fightback.[LNB]He said: "When you come to a place like Ibrox, it's always going to be a tough afternoon when you concede goals just after taking the lead and at the start of a crucial 45 minutes.[LNB]"You could see the lift that gave Rangers but we still tried to take something out of the game and create opportunities."[LNB][LNB] Scottish Premier League.
