Papac welcomes brief break

Sasa Papac believes Rangers' current problems will be forgotten in the second half of the season when Walter Smith should be able to field his strongest starting line-up. Smith was without six key players through injury - Madjid Bougherra, Kirk Broadfoot, Mo Edu, Kyle Lafferty, Pedro Mendes and Stevie Smith - for Saturday's narrow 2-1 win over St Mirren and Papac cannot wait for them all to return to action. He said: "I think maybe the international break is coming at a good time for Rangers because we have a lot of players out injured. "Having a couple of weeks off will give them time to recover. "We will need a big squad if we are going to win back the title. When these players come back we will have more options in every position in the team and the side will perform better. "We are still involved in the Champions League and playing in midweek and at the weekend can put a lot of demands on players. We must have at least over 20 players to choose from."
