Papac pens new Gers deal
12 Nov 2008 - 08:57:06
Rangers defender Sasa Papac has signed a new three-year contract to keep him at Ibrox until 2011.
The 28-year-old Bosnian was brought to the club by former manager Paul Le Guen in 2006 but remains a regular starter under current boss Walter Smith.
Papac is the only Le Guen signing to still be at Ibrox following the Frenchman's short and unsuccessful stint at the helm.
"I am so happy to sign a new deal with Rangers," he told the club's official website.
"To spend five years with a club like Rangers is something special and I aim to give all I can in the next three years.
"We had success last season with the two cups and then we got to the UEFA Cup final which was fantastic.
"However, the main target is the SPL title and I would love to win that this season."
