Palop issues Rangers warning
The Spanish shot-stopper believes Sevilla are in the form of their lives and claims the Rojiblancos are as good as La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Joaquin Caparros' side secured their fifth consecutive win despite fielding an under-strength side against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
They travel to Ibrox in outstanding form, unlike their opponents who boast just one win in their last five games.
Full of confidence ahead of the Glasgow clash, Palop, 35, insisted the Gers were no match for their Spanish opponents.
Reflecting on fond memories in the city, he told the Daily Record: "I'm so happy to be back here with the best Sevilla team in history."
Palop saved a crucial spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out against Espanyol at Hampden Park in the 2007 UEFA Cup final.
He also stood between the sticks as Valencia beat Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox in the group stages of the Champions League 10 years ago.
"I consider Glasgow my second home because it has so many special memories for me," he said.
"I saved the crucial penalty in the shoot-out against Espanyol to help us win the UEFA Cup and that will live with me for the rest of my life."
Looking forward to his return to Ibrox, he added: "We (Sevilla) are playing at an incredibly high level at the moment and the only thing on our minds is winning the match at Glasgow.
"Our recent results in La Liga have been fantastic, yet it is still possible for us to improve.
"I believe it is time for Barcelona and Real Madrid to start taking us seriously because we have already demonstrated we are as good as them.
"It will take another exceptional performance to win at Ibrox. Rangers are poor when they travel to another city but they are very strong in Glasgow.
"But if we play to our level then we will win the match. It is as simple as that."
