Paul Le Guen singled out goalscoring duo Charlie Adam and Nacho Novo for praise after Rangers defeated Livorno 3-2 in the UEFA Cup.
The under-fire Gers boss saw his side record a first-ever win by a Scottish side on Italain soil before praising his two match-winners.
Kris Boyd added a penalty for the visitors on a superb night for the struggling Ibrox club.
"I am happy for my players but particularly for Charlie and Nacho," said Le Guen. "This is more special for them because they are young.
"I like Nacho because he never gives up and I think that's very important for a player. I wanted this victory so much.
"It makes me proud but not too much and that's because there is still a long way to go to get our confidence."
