Novo suffers shoulder injury
The severity of the problem is unclear and the Spanish forward will see a specialist next week for scans, but he will definitely miss next Saturday's SPL opener against Falkirk.
With Kyle Lafferty ruled out for the opening three games of the season after being hit with a two-match ban, Novo's injury could hardly have come at a worse time.
The 30-year-old had been in good form during pre-season and was on target in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Manchester City.
Novo hurt himself this morning and was immediately withdrawn from
the squad for Saturday's friendly at Portsmouth.
