Novo considering options

Nacho Novo is weighing up offers from England and abroad as he comes to terms with the likely end of his Rangers career.

The Spaniard is one of six first-team players who are out of contract and unsure of their future amid financial uncertainty at Ibrox. The 31-year-old was unhappy with the contract terms offered by Rangers and is also keen to start more games having come off the bench 29 times this season.

Novo, who admitted he was "emotional" after Sunday's 3-3 draw against Motherwell, said: "I don't know what is going to happen yet but it looks like it may be my last game."

He added: "But there are still a lot of things to go so we will just need to wait and see.

"It's more chance that I will be leaving. Obviously I want to play more football as well at my age."

Novo has been strongly linked with a switch to Middlesbrough but he is giving serious thought to a move abroad.

The former Dundee player, who today launched his autobiography, I Said No Thanks, added: "I have a few things in Spain, down south and Greece so I just need to wait and see what happens.

"At the moment I am interested in every one. I'm just going to have a wee break and think about what is going to be the best for me. I need to speak with my agent."
