November return for Ferguson

Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson is confident he will be ready for a first-team return in November.

The 30-year-old was ruled out for four months when he had surgery on a troublesome ankle problem in the summer but is happy with the way his rehabilitation is going.

He said: "I've got a lot of hard work in the next six to eight weeks. I need to get my strength back in my calf and ankle.

"But hopefully I'll get a few reserve games in October and be fit to lead Scotland out again in November."
