Naismith eyes Gers return

Rangers striker Steven Naismith has set his sights on a first-team return following his comeback from a long-term injury.

The 22-year-old Scotland international recently completed his third second-string game following eight months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

"I'm looking forward to getting fit and getting games and then pushing to get involved in the first team again," he told the club's official website.

"I don't feel any different now compared to before. My knee is back to where it was and hopefully it stays that way and I can push on and get some games under my belt.

"Being back with the squad is so much better, but the hard work starts now.

"I've just got to try to get fit and push myself to see if I can give the manager a problem and hopefully get a game."
