Mulgrew revels in Old Firm run

Charlie Mulgrew insists he will never tire of facing Rangers despite the prospect of an unprecedented seven meetings between the Old Firm rivals this season.

Sunday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Celtic Park will mark the third derby since the turn of the year. The Glasgow giants will then do battle in the Scottish Cup fifth-round replay and the Co-operative Insurance Cup final in what promises to be a dramatic period for both clubs.

Mulgrew believes that there is no chance of the famous fixture ever becoming boring and said: "These are the games you want to play in. Every one will be as big as the last one."

He added: "They are great games to be involved in and it's even better when you win. They are brilliant.

"Those are the games you want to play in as a player - the bigger the better - so these games coming up should be good.

"It is a bit strange playing so many, but it's brilliant.

"I don't think there could be enough Glasgow derby games this season as the fans treat every one the same as the one before, so we will just look forward to the next one and hopefully we can win them.

"It would be great if I could play out here [at Parkhead] against Rangers as I haven't done that before but we are only looking forward to the next game."

"We have won nothing yet and at the end of the day we didn't win the game at Ibrox so we are just looking forward to the replay here and hopefully we can win that.

"I think it's easy to get caught up with all the talk of the good performances but nothing has been won so I think we are just keeping our feet on the ground and taking each game as it comes."
