More injury woe for Gers

Rangers manager Walter Smith has two new injury doubts for Thursday's vital UEFA Cup clash with Fiorentina after Davie Weir and Steven Davis picked up injuries in the Old Firm defeat to Celtic.

Both players sustained groin problems in the 3-2 defeat and Smith fears the worst.

He admitted: "We're not quite sure where we stand at the present moment.

"We'll have Carlos Cuellar and Kevin Thomson back from suspension for Thursday night but Davie Weir is struggling with a groin injury as is Steve Davis.

"It'll take us a day or two to regroup and find out what we have available."
