Miller will take win any which way

Kenny Miller admits he does not care about the circumstances surrounding Rangers' Clydesdale Bank Premier League title triumph as long as they retain their crown.

The Gers' 2-0 win against Hearts on Sunday means they can confirm their status as champions for a second successive season against Hibernian next weekend. And they could even have the title race wrapped up before kick-off at Easter Road if rivals Celtic fail to beat Dundee United earlier on Sunday.

"We'll do it any way," said Miller.

"We will assume Celtic will go and win and that we will have to win at Easter Road.

"To be honest, no matter what happens, we will still be going there trying to win the game.

"If we have already won it, it's going to take the pressure off.

"But we will be going there to win the game next week and that's what we will be focused on."

His thoughts were echoed by boss Walter Smith, who insists his side will be preparing for a win in Edinburgh regardless of events elsewhere.

He said: "When you are going to win the championship, you would always look at your own results first and foremost.

"That's what we will do. We will go to Easter Road hoping to get a win there and that's how we will approach the week."
