Miller hopes to be free of injury

The Scotland international was hampered by hamstring problems last term, preventing him from hitting top form. However, he visited medics in Germany last week and is optimistic that he is now fully fit as Rangers prepare for their defence of the SPL crown. "The lads were back last Thursday and I was over in Germany seeing the doctor so hopefully we have got to the bottom of the problem I had last season," said Miller. "I'm looking forward to getting back and being fully fit and not feeling any niggles like I did last year. "It's still at the early stage to see if it's had the desired effect but, if it does and it solves the problem I had, it will be a relief to go into games and training without any niggles. "It's always at the back of your head waiting for the pain to come back so if I can get rid of that, I'd be absolutely delighted." Rangers claimed both the championship and the Homecoming Scottish Cup last term and Miller wants to go one better this time around. He said: "Last season is done and dusted now, we have to defend it and go again. "We have set our sights on the Treble this year and doing well in Europe." And, despite the lack of new signings, Miller is confident Rangers have a squad in place who can challenge for honours again next season. He said: "We've got the same squad as we had last year, barring Barry Ferguson who has gone down the road [to Birmingham] for talks. "If nobody leaves we will be more than happy with the same squad but I'm sure the club will be looking to strengthen in certain positions. "Whether the funds are there I'm not sure but any team looks to strengthen in the close season. "I'm sure we will be no different and the manager will be looking at a few options to bring in a few fresh faces to the squad." Scottish Premier Winner 2009/10 Win Outright: Rangers 5/6
