Miller: Home wins vital for Gers

The Light Blues will go top of the table for the first time since November if they win, with current leaders Celtic not playing until Sunday.[LNB]Rangers were forced to come from behind the last time Killie came to Ibrox and Miller knows Jim Jefferies' men will not make it easy.[LNB]The striker said: "The last time we played against Kilmarnock, it was a tough game but we've got home advantage and we have to win these games.[LNB]"If we are going to win the league, we have to win our home games and it gives us a good chance to put the pressure on to Celtic.[LNB]"Any time we've had that opportunity to put Celtic under pressure, we have done it and they will have a hard game on Sunday as well."[LNB]Rangers will be without midfielders DaMarcus Beasley and Lee McCulloch on Saturday after both were hurt in Wednesday night's Homecoming Scottish Cup win at Forfar.[LNB]USA midfielder Beasley escaped serious injury at Station Park after a shin-high challenge that forced him from the field and saw Elliot Smith shown a straight red card.[LNB]Murray Park medical staff have since branded the Forfar full-back's tackle a potential leg breaker.[LNB]Rangers said on their official website: "Beasley has been very lucky. He was caught on the shin by an horrendous challenge from Forfar full-back Elliot Smith, who was immediately sent off.[LNB]"However, the Murray Park staff reckon the fact that his foot was off the ground when he was hit saved him from a broken leg."[LNB]The club also revealed McCulloch could miss next month's Co-operative Insurance Cup final after suffering a calf injury.[LNB]McCulloch, who has only recently forced his way back into Walter Smith's first-team plans as a holding midfielder, will be out for a minimum of two weeks but could be missing for up to four.[LNB]That would rule him out of the March 15 Old Firm showdown at Hampden.[LNB]Rangers' medical team are hoping the problem is a strain rather than a tear and say they will know more by the weekend.[LNB]Full-back Kirk Broadfoot is another likely absentee with a foot problem.[LNB]Kilmarnock will look to take advantage of any weaknesses in the Rangers rearguard and manager Jefferies reckons Kevin Kyle could be the man to do so.[LNB]In the last few years, Killie have lost star strikers Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and Colin Nish and have struggled to fill the void.[LNB]But, following a January move from Coventry, Jefferies would love to see one-time Scotland international Kyle take up the mantle.[LNB]He said: "We've lost people like Kris Boyd and Steven Naismith and even big Colin Nish, who scored a few goals for us.[LNB]"People like that are hard to find and that's why we have brought in Kevin Kyle; hopefully he can get us a few goals."[LNB]Jefferies would love to see his side get off the mark quickly at Ibrox and rattle a Rangers side determined not to ship any more points in the title race.[LNB]He said: "It helps if you score first in any game, whether it's against Rangers or anyone else.[LNB]"This league is so tight and everybody is capable of beating each other. Celtic at the top of the league went to Inverness at the bottom of the league a few weeks ago and it ended up a draw.[LNB]"It can happen; there have been crazy results this year."[LNB][LNB]
