Miller demands six of the best

The Ibrox side have lacked consistency this term and have dropped points to teams at both ends of the table in the Scottish Premier League. But the striker believes Rangers are more than capable of maintaining a 100% record between now and the end of the campaign to pip Celtic to the SPL title and retain the Homecoming Scottish Cup. He said: "We've seen Celtic go on a 12- or 13-game winning streak at the start of the season. That's something we haven't done yet. "We hope that the five games in a row we have won so far can become 11 games, including the Scottish Cup final. "A domestic double would be great for us. Both teams are capable of winning every game - we just have to hope we are the ones who step up to the plate and do it. "We've won five games on the spin for the first time all season so we are in good form but it's going to be five tough games for us and five tough games for Celtic." Celtic travel to Aberdeen in Saturday's early kick-off with a single point advantage at the summit, before Rangers host Hearts on Sunday. Miller added: "We want to get off to a good start on Sunday. It's a big weekend. "We want all three points and hopefully we can either be top or not any worse off come Sunday night. "We would much rather be 11 points clear. But it's definitely in our own hands. "If you look a few months back, we were seven points behind and a lot of things were written and said about the league being over. "So we are in a good position. If we win the five games, we win the league and it's as simple as that." Miller believes he personally still has plenty to offer to the cause, despite the impressive goalscoring form of Walter Smith's preferred strike partnership of Kris Boyd and Andrius Velicka. "I hate sitting and watching," Miller admitted. "I want to be taking part in the games and contributing to the team doing well. "This weekend, the gaffer will probably have a full compliment of strikers back and available. "Boyd and Velicka have scored big goals in the last few weeks and if they retain their place, they retain their place. "But I want to get back in the starting line-up and hopefully score the goals that contribute to the team winning the league." While Rangers were tasked with overcoming St Mirren to book their place in the Scottish Cup final last weekend, Celtic were able to enjoy a week's training in Spain. But, given the choice, Miller claims he would opt for competitive action every time. He said: "We would much rather have been in the semi-final and going for the Scottish Cup. We have set our sights on a double. "We would much rather have been playing last weekend and keeping the momentum going and getting another good result in the bag." Rangers 4/11, Draw 3/1, Hearts 15/2
