McGregor back in Scotland squad
02 Aug 2010 - 11:25:34
Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been included in the Scotland squad for next Wednesday's friendly international against Sweden.
The 28-year-old has not represented his country for more than 15 months since his part in the 'Boozegate' saga.
At the time he was handed a lifetime ban by then boss George Burley which was overturned when Craig Levein took charge of the national team in December 2009.
First-choice Scotland keeper Craig Gordon is currently sidelined with a broken arm and McGregor is the favourite to start in Stockholm.
Four Middlesbrough players - Stephen McManus, Kevin Thomson, Barry Robson and Kris Boyd - have all been included in the squad.
Squad:
Alexander (Rangers), Marshall (Cardiff) McGregor (Rangers); Hutton (Tottenham), Berra (Wolves), Broadfoot (Rangers), McManus (Middlesbrough), Wallace (Hearts), Webster (Rangers), Whittaker (Rangers), Adam (Blackpool), Brown (Celtic), Dorrans (West Brom), Fletcher (Manchester United), McCulloch (Rangers), Morrison (West Bromwich Albion), Robson (Middlesbrough), Thomson (Middlesbrough), Boyd (Middlesbrough), Fletcher (Wolves), Iwelumo (Burnley), McFadden (Birmingham), Miller (Rangers).
