McGregor to discover fate on Saturday

Rangers keeper Allan McGregor will learn tomorrow if he has been found guilty and punished by the Scottish Football Association for an incident which took place at Aberdeen nearly two weeks ago, the Ibrox club have claimed. McGregor will shrug off an ongoing leg injury to keep goal for Scotland in their Euro 2012 qualifier against the Czech Republic in Prague but could return to discover he is facing a ban. The 28-year-old was subject to an investigation for allegedly aiming a kick at Dons striker Chris Maguire during the 3-2 win at Pittodrie. Rangers' official website claimed the SFA's review panel has already made a decision but will not make their decision known, with the club and McGregor awaiting recorded delivery letters which will arrive on Saturday. An SFA staff member was quoted as saying: "A decision has been made and letters have been sent to both Rangers and Allan McGregor by recorded delivery." It was the SFA's new chief executive, Stewart Regan, who convened the video review panel to look at the incident from the match which Rangers won 3-2.
