McGregor returns to Scotland squad

Allan McGregor was named as expected on Monday morning in the Scotland squad for next Wednesday`s friendly against Sweden in Stockholm. The Rangers goalkeeper's lifetime ban for his part in the 'Boozegate' saga was overturned by manager Craig Levein when he took over from George Burley in December. However, McGregor was left out of Levein's first squad to play the Czech Republic at Hampden in March after sustaining an eye injury in an incident in Glasgow with the former Dundee United manager admitting his decision was also, in part, due to the "circus" which would have surrounded the controversial keeper's return. Levein is without his number one Craig Gordon who is out with a broken arm and the Rangers keeper is favourite to take over in goal.
