McCulloch: Gers will respond

Midfielder Lee McCulloch has backed Rangers to overcome their UEFA Cup Final disappointment and wrap up the Scottish Premier League title.

The Ibrox club lost 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg in Wednesday's European showpiece, but could take a giant stride towards the league title with a victory over Motherwell on Saturday.

Rangers are aiming for a domestic treble after winning the CIS Insurance Cup earlier in the season and booking their place in the Scottish Cup Final.

"We have people who have been out injured coming back and we have a big squad," said McCulloch.

"Saturday is the big game and if we win it puts us in a great position.

"We won't be feeling sorry for ourselves. We have done well in getting to the final, but the main thing is that there are still two medals to play for and we won't let it affect us."
