McCulloch calls for calm

Rangers forward Lee McCulloch has urged his team-mates to rise above the 'tasty' tactics of Crvena Zvezda during Tuesday's Champions League qualifier.

The Gers lead 1-0 from the first leg at Ibrox two weeks ago in a tetchy game which witnessed seven yellow cards for the Serbian side.

"They were a bit tasty two weeks ago. They were leaving the foot in on tackles, but we expected that before the game," he told the club's official website.

"The manager told us not to rise to it and I think we handled it very well."

"We have a real team spirit about the squad which has been instilled by the gaffer and his staff. Everyone is fighting to the final whistle and that will be important for us over here.

"I think we can finish the job. We know it's going to be hard but we are going into the game with confidence.

"They've got a bit of tough crowd behind them who have a bit of a reputation but we have to rise above that and go over there and try to do the best job we can.

"It's great that we have the advantage because, if we were going into the second leg on the back of a goalless draw, it would have made things a lot more difficult."
